| "In the truest tradition of Israeli neighborhood restaurants, Sabuddy's will be a gathering place. Come, drink, eat, talk with friends and relax. Sabuddy's is much more than just a restaurant, its a way of life. "
-Daniel Livni, Founder and Owner
Tired of another snowed in winter in NYC, Daniel decided it was time to move fly South. Never one to waver on a decision, he looked for the "hottest place in America" and quickly settled on Arizona.
To clear his mind, he set out on a trip through the Middle East: Asia, India, Nepal. Daniel was overwhelmed by how hospitable and warm, how welcoming and how personable everyone was. While in Laos, the language was peppered with the word "sabuddy". Daniel learned this was, much like "Shalom", a greeting that embodied "hello, goodbye, peace".
The word embodied everything that Daniel wanted his restuarant to embody: warm, open, welcoming, and hospitality above all. The customs of the Middle East that Daniel would never forget.
Sabuddy's is the culmination of Daniel's lifelong dreams, but also of 1000 years of cuisine, tradition and history. Fresh pita being dipped in hummus in your mother's kitchen while you catch up with friends... that is Sabuddy's.
